Three members of AAI will act as a selection panel to identify which articles from back issues of the Asterism will appear on this page. The selection criteria are that each article should have a sound astronomical basis and be of general interest to AAI members. More specifically:

  1. The article should have primarily scientific content or
  2. The article should give a historical treatment of its subject or
  3. The article should be mainly instructional.

  4. In addition:

  5. Articles which serve mainly to express an author's opinion will not be selected.
  6. Articles which are of an ephemeral nature will not be selected.
The intent is to make it easy for users of the website to find articles that would still be considered to be of value say ten years from now.
