Griffith Griffith Observatory in Los Angeles, California. Backdrop to many early Science Fiction movies.
Hilltop Dome Appropriately located in Sunspot, New Mexico, this site displays real-time H-alpha solar images every minute.
Ionospheric Weather (Australian Space Agency)
NEW ITEM
Global maps of ionospheric total electron content (TEC). Compare this derived product with the JPL Global TEC Map (below). Note that this map may lag the NASA JPL map by an hour and is centred on a different longitude.
Ionospheric Weather (JPL)
NEW ITEM
Global maps of ionospheric total electron content (TEC) are produced in real-time by mapping GPS observables collected from ground stations. These maps are also used to monitor ionospheric weather, and to nowcast ionospheric storms that often occur responding to activities in solar wind and Earth's magnetosphere as well as thermosphere.
Keck Twin 10-meter telescopes located on Mauna Kea, Hawaii.
Kitt Peak Kitt Peak National Observatory in Arizona.
Lick Lick Observatory in California.
Lowell Lowell Observatory and LONEOS (Lowell Near Earth Object Survey).
McDonald McDonald Observatory in Texas.
Mt. Palomar Mount Palomar Observatory in California. Home of the 200-inch Hale telescope.
Mt. Wilson Mount Wilson Observatory in California. Home of the 60-inch reflector and the 100-inch Hooker.
