WebCam Sun in Hydrogen-Alpha Light

The Sun in Hydrogen-alpha light imaged by Dr. Clif Ashcraft on May 29, 2005. It is a colorized montage of the pictures resulting from RegiStax processing of sixteen 30-second long black & white videos taken with his ToUcam through the 40mm SolarMax filter on a 50mm f/14 refractor. Seven of the videos were taken at 1/30th of a second exposure to bring out the fainter prominences, and the rest were taken at 1/100th of a second to bring out the detail in the face of the Sun. The montage and colorization were done in PhotoShop.
