While attending a conference on Galaxy Dynamics at Rutgers University in Piscataway, New Jersey in August 1998, world famous astrophotographer David Malin from Australia spoke to a group of almost 300 amateur astronomers. AAI member George Lewecky, who helped arrange the meeting, took these pictures.
