I had a productive if not outstanding evening October 31, 2010. Over the course of an hour and 24 minutes, from 8:46 p.m. to 10:10 p.m., I captured 26 images of Jupiter showing a transit of Io and its eclipse of Jupiter. Seeing was poor over the early part of the evening until about 9:30 when it got a bit above average, and I got some reasonably good images. The earlier images were from 30-second videos intended to capture the transit ingress. During the better seeing, 60-second videos were taken. All were taken with the Flea3 camera and FireCapture control software with bilinear debayering turned on.

The 7.25-inch Schupmann, 2x Barlow, and extension tube gave a focal ratio of f/35. During the time of above average seeing, the benefits of bilinear debayering (as opposed to the nearest neighbor routine that Registax uses) was apparent. One thing I can say for a one shot color camera: it would be very difficult to get 26 color images in an hour and 24 minutes using a monochrome camera and filter wheel.
